Citrus citrus squeezer made of thermoplastic resin. Very simple but elegant, this squeezer is equipped with a very prominent pouring spout, whose shape is well connected with the container to facilitate the transfer of the liquid from the juicer to the glass and to grip the tool well during the squeezing operation. Citrus” is made of two pieces of PMMA with a consistent thickness in two versions: transparent and orange. The surface finish is glossy in the parts in contact with the citrus fruit and the juice (inside and upper part of the juicer) while it is satin on the outside. The external satin finish offers a more secure grip while the glossy one allows for better cleaning. Designed by Eero Aarnio for Alessi.

This is how our designer Eero Aarnio summarizes his creation, Citrus, a squeezer that comes from the future! Made of thermoplastic resin, Citrus is an object that comes with a very simple but at the same time very functional design. For over half a century, Aarnio has been designing objects and furnishings with geometric, rounded shapes and bright colors that allude to the “child code” with great consistency. His objects, almost all made of plastic, are small visual stories that combine ironic and playful features with precise and explicit functional and use meanings.
