The flared edge is very convenient for removing excess liquids and the magnetic steel bottom makes it also suitable for induction cooking. Designed by Patricia Urquiola for Alessi.
Edo grill pan is part of the splendid collection designed by Patricia Urquiola for the Alessi brand. The elements of the Edo collection arise from a series of cultural references and different formal suggestions. A richness and variety that the author treats with an amused and playful touch, a combination of references that evokes the very essence of cooking: the combination of different ingredients that creates the dishes. Edo is the ancient name of Tokyo and the reference to Japan for this project comes from a series of pots that Patricia Urquiola uses in her kitchen. Born in Japan, these pots have a simple and minimal design that inspired the shapes of the Edo series in Japan. The designer's idea was to modify an industrial production project with a few traits that break the rigor of the rules imposed by mass production: in particular, the slight flaring of the containers and the design of the handles that are reminiscent of ribbons pinned to the body of the pots. A shape, that of the handles, which does not seem to be industrially made but the result of craftsmanship. A series of pots and pans that ensures maximum performance in the kitchen, designed to last over time. So? What are you waiting for?
