Ronan & Erwan, the Bouroullec brothers, collaborate with Nanimarquina and apply their sense of color and graphics to carpets for a project that mixes modernity and ancestral traditions. They use the traditional kilim technique to create a striped pattern, a refined mix of balance, proportion and irregularity. This random mix of colored strips gives life to a rhythmic and dynamic composition with unstructured contours. The gaze is lost in this multicolored weave. This "controlled disorder" makes Lattice a unique creation. The Bouroullec brothers explain:
"Carpets are generally designed as surfaces on which a pattern is applied. However, in the case of Lattice, it is the pattern that generates the form of the carpet. This composition of colored strips, in which motifs, shapes and colors are absolutely linked, creates a different vision of the carpet".
