"My factory is 100 years old, but more than antiquity I am interested in the ability to always bring new ideas, to contribute to the evolution of the home landscape." This is how Alberto Alessi celebrates the 100th anniversary of the historic Alessi brand, a leader in the design of home ornaments for years. On the occasion of this centenary, Alessi therefore proposes a special initiative: Alessi Values Collection. This initiative celebrates the values that define the identity and practice of this Italian Design Factory. A collection of surprising objects: unpublished versions, study tests and new versions of author classics. Twelve values, twelve unpublished projects and twelve months, to celebrate one hundred years of research in the field of applied arts and the beginning of a new century of experimentation. A striking example of tradition and design is the coffee maker with heart and stars, designed by Riccardo Dalisi in the 1970s. A perfect combination of art and design, the coffee maker with heart and stars is the reproduction of one of the 200 prototypes made by Dalisi, a design process that led to the Neapolitan coffee maker being conceived as a piece of art, increasingly omitting the functional part.
