The history of Sambonet begins in 1856, Giuseppe Sambonet, after obtaining a diploma in Fine Arts, obtains the Master Goldsmith's patent and establishes the Giuseppe Sambonet company. In 1932, Sambonet, the first in Italy, created a production plant on an industrial scale capable of combining the production of massive silverware with the galvanic one. In 1956 Sambonet conquered the international market: first out of 53 competitors, it won the order for the Hilton Hotel in Cairo with a line of tableware still in the collection today.
