Caféstuhl is a chair designed by Nigel Coates in 2016 for the Gebrüder Thonet Vienna brand. Nigel Coates presents the Caféstuhl chair, a new original reinterpretation with a contemporary twist of the Thonet tradition. Extremely comfortable and ergonomic, it is distinguished by the sculptural backrest with an anthropomorphic character that recalls the typical triangular shape of the shoulder blades. Designed to furnish domestic environments with a strong character and ideal in contract spaces, this elegant proposal takes up the characteristic serpentine workmanship of the under-seat, an element common to all the pieces signed by the English designer for GTV.
