In 1932, Sambonet, the first in Italy, created a production plant on an industrial scale capable of combining the production of massive silverware with the galvanic one. In 1938 he developed an innovative process for the production of stainless steel cutlery and perfected the technique for silvering steel. In 1956 Sambonet conquered the international market: first out of 53 competitors, it won the order for the Hilton Hotel in Cairo with a line of tableware still in the collection today.
