The Resonance fruit bowl is part of the splendid collection designed by Abi Alie for the Alessi brand. This project, conceived in 1996, reflects the designer's curiosity towards the value systems we use to evaluate, on the one hand, paintings and drawings, and on the other, objects. Mathematics and geometry are Alice's starting point for the Resonance Collection. You use lines and arches to arrive at harmonious and geometric compositions. The compositions begin as drawings, develop into paintings, and finally, through choices of cutting, folding and folding, they are transformed into three-dimensional objects. In this series Alice encourages the viewer to consider how we value creatively inspired objects. Are our conclusions about value based on our instinctive response to objects or are we influenced by group consciousness? Alice is interested in how the latter is formed, particularly through the influence of the media, magazines and also curatorial culture, galleries and museums. Alice believes that all creatively inspired products have the same value. The intent of this project is to celebrate all creative art forms and illustrate how the same geometric foundations can be used to produce three different results: a drawing, a painting and an object. Alice believes that we are living in an exciting age of "all is well", where the boundaries and structures that influence the perception of value are constantly blurred and dismantled, allowing for unlimited creativity to be explored.
