Born in the trade, Andrea Branciforti learned from his father the passion for this work, guided by the idea that innovation can also be obtained through the use of non-modern materials, modeled with artisanal tools and techniques. In his creations he has always tried to reconcile design and functionality by experimenting with new modes of expression. His work is mainly based on research. From time to time he carries out studies on materials and techniques for the development of his projects, whose recurring theme is irony supported by functionality. Conceived in 2004 by Andrea Branciforti, Improntabarre today is a studio and a design laboratory, which collaborates with a network of craftsmen in the production of high quality products. Selected by the ADI Design Permanent Observatory for publication in the ADI Design Index 2015 with the Urban design for tile project. He is a member of the ADI Handmade in Italy thematic commission. He has collaborated on various installations and projects with Ugo La Pietra, Farm Cultural Park, Fuorisalmone Vittorio Venezia Moak Pietracolata.
