Adelaide is a Bone China porcelain table set designed by the artist and designer Xie Dong for Driade. Resuming the processing of traditional Chinese ceramics, Xie Dong has created unique objects, rich in details and out of the ordinary. Porcelain is processed to obtain a very thin, extremely fine thickness, similar to a sheet of paper. Special techniques allow porcelain to take on unusual, magical and changing shapes: it bends, rolls, sways, creases, bends, turns. The surface of each piece is characterized by a glossy white that plays with the effects of movement, reacting to light like a living form. Plates, cups, trays and vases are unique and authentic, handcrafted and personally signed by the artist, who wanted to combine poetry and craftsmanship in a unique set of its kind.
