Losanges by Bouroullec fractels is a rug that was awarded the Elle Decoration International Awards in 2012. The technique used is the so-called kilim technique and thanks to it Losanges encloses in its weave different colors and geometric patterns. Apart from the craft techniques involved, the Afghan wool is also hand-spun to obtain unique color tones that make each rhombus different and each rug a unique object. Technically complex, the Losanges collection requires great mastery for the juxtaposition of 13 colors in the geometric diamond pattern, a great challenge for the artisans. With the Losanges collection, the Bouroullec brothers continue their study of simplicity and elegance, reinterpreting the traditional Persian rug.
