Danese Milano Due Oche Grigie silk-screen

The numbered serigraphs of the Nature Series, obtained by Enzo Mari and produced by Danese, propose subjects of nature respecting the innate idea that one has by evoking them.  From iconographic research, Mari has developed in the 60's he developed a series of three characters, belonging to the Game of Fables.  The animals in question are the lamb, the fox, and the geese, represented simply, but enhancing their meaning and iconographic value.  The subjects are therefore deliberately reproduced in their original form, like a model, eliminating the superfluous and giving importance to the communicative function.  Enzo Mari's choice of eliminating the superfluous in favour of meaning is to be found in the author's intention of wanting to identify the observer with the work as much as possible, to create an emotional and representative connection.
