"I'am interested in retrieving lost emotional states, which are linked to past events. A past event may be a brief life experience or a simple action, which may in itself be as insignificant as a certain smell entering you nose, seeing a small detail, recognising a colour or tasting a certain flavour. I explore states of mind and the story which accompanies them. The emotions generated by a certain memory have a high intensity and are experienced in one place and at a particular moment of ones life. The place gives shape to the emotional state and helps create a complete idea of the memory. Monsters are the image of these emotive states, they are the key to their retrieval. A monster is a wonder, an extraordinary thing, as extraordinary as living an emotion. In this way Giovanni Motta describes Momonster, his collection designed for Bosa. The designer was inspired by Japanese cartons and his childrens paints. Every monster has a different story, holding a playful and ironic metaphor with flowing lines and strange forms.
