Playforever was born in 2006 from Julian Meagher’ ideas. He studied industrial design in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1996, he moved to London to pursue a career in product design, beginning his professional career working under the wing of design guru Tom Karen of Ogle Design. After years, Julian Meagher build his company, surrounded himself by an efficient staff.
The idea of Playforever born when a tiny child ride bike around local underground car parks, searching for tucked-away supercars and peeking under dust covers to marvel at their sleek forms and shiny badges, this early fascination with the beauty and magic of classic vehicles sparked a lifelong ambition to create a collection of timeless heirloom toys. A collection that would delight and captivate generations to come, children and grownups alike. Today, the Playforever brand is sold in over 20 countries worldwide. Drawing inspiration from iconic racing cars and racing planes from the 1920s, as well as classic 1960s New York, combined with decades of researching and studying technical car design and automotive styling, our collection of Midis, Minis and Mavericks is an eclectic mix of art, fashion, traditional design and modernism. Nowadays that child ride those cars.
Julian Meagher created the machine that he himself admired to allow children be able to play with them, comfortably form home, thanks to their size. Moreover, he created timeless toy cars for nostalgic people like him, who were children that those big cars could only look at. Today they can collect them so as not to detach themselves form the thread of their past!
