Winner of the Compasso d'Oro in 1979, Mendini is an artist who has managed to give a new face to Italian design. The designer engages in a reinterpretation of familiar objects, which responds to the ethics of reusing forms already known. Each of his creations marries a postmodernist aesthetic, developing its own expressive modality, imbued with creativity and, at times, lightheartedness.
